Your divine Char Dham Yatra starts with a breathtaking drive from Haridwar to Barkot; 210 km takes approximately 7-8 hours. The experience of driving through the Himalayan foothills near rivers and little towns shows local people and the natural beauty of landscapes. Along the way, you will pass through Dehradun and other quaint, beautiful villages. Check into the hotel in Barkot when you arrive there and unwind. In the evening, explore the peaceful ambience of this little hill station, which is surrounded by beautiful green valleys. Spend the night and prepare for your onward journey.

You will start your journey from Barkot to Yamunotri early in the morning after breakfast that is about 36 km away (1.5–2 hours by road). On arrival at the parking area, your 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple will start at the height of 3,293 meters. With the awe-inspiring Himalayas, sweeping greenery, and idyllic scenery at every turn, the trek is a combination of natural beauty and spiritual vibes.

Leave in the wee hours of morning (after an early breakfast) to drive to Gangotri, 100 km from Uttarkashi. You will be driving through gorgeous mountainous roads with dense forests and waterfalls. Take a holy dip in the river, visit the Gangotri Temple and Ganga Goddess temple. In the evening return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Post breakfast, you will drive to Guptkashi – a scenic town nestled in the lap of mountains dotted with temples. It is a 210 km drive and takes about 8-9 hours, so brace yourself for a long drive. Arrive and check into your hotel for the night.

This morning, drive to Sonprayag (30 km) and from here make an 18 km trek to Kedarnath, one of the holiest temples of Lord Shiva. The hike is a spiritual pilgrimage, with towering peaks surrounding you. Experience the peaceful atmosphere after reaching Kedarnath and visiting the Kedarnath Temple. Stay overnight in Kedarnath.

Post-breakfast, check-out from hotel in Badrinath, and start your journey towards Rudraprayag (160 Kms 6-7 hours)— Your next destination. As you drive, you will pass by scenic views of rivers, valleys, and rolling hills. As you near Rudraprayag, enjoy the sight of where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet, giving the town its name. On arrival at Rudraprayag, check into your hotel and retire for the day. One can plan a short evening trip to nearby places or just relax and relish the serene surroundings.

You would start the drive from Rudraprayag to Haridwar, 165 km away and around 5 hours of drive on the last day of your trip.
