MEHRANGARH FORT
The Mehrangarh Fort looms, impossible to penetrate, straight from a hill 125 meters above Jodhpur’s skyline. Umaid Bhawan Palace was built by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1929 as a response to the famine that devastated the state at that time. The building was also called the Chittar Palace, as stones from the Chittar hill were used in its construction. A renowned British architect designed the palace, which took 16 years to complete. The palace’s architecture, constructed of marble and sandstone, has been described as a blend of Western Art Deco.

GHANTA GHAR
The ghanta ghar, or clock tower, is situated in one of Jodhpur’s busiest neighborhoods. The tower was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh, after whom the nearby Sardar market is named. Sadar Market is a favorite for travelers seeking spices, traditional clothing, and decorative jewelry. The Clock Tower is one of the very famous landmarks in Jodhpur. MANDORE GARDEN
